Episode 20 - 'Step Aside' with Greg Breal

In this month’s episode, I spend some time talking and writing with singer, songwriter and vocal coach, Greg Breal. Greg is a dear friend of mine with a tender heart and a voice like butter. Greg and I have a delightful conversation about singing and the voice and the self-doubt that can get in the way. We stretch ourselves to write a really cool song that’s unlike most of the songs I’ve written so far.

Episode 19 - 'Halted State'

Tim approaches this episode a little differently than previous episodes. He is writing alone and is exclusively using his ukulele! Unheard of! Tim talks about how he is feeling stalled out and like everything has come to a halt in his life and the world, but he writes a simple and nice little tune anyways. I think you'll enjoy it. As always, reach out to us and let us know what you think!

Episode 18 - 'Doing the Best I Can' with Natalie Royal

This month’s guest is another friend of mine and local singer and songwriter, Natalie Royal. Natalie is a wonderful person with a lovely voice and a beautiful heart, as you will soon hear. We recorded this episode back in May, you know, back when we thought we'd be out of quarantine in the Summer. But in spite of that, Natalie and I had several truly wonderful conversations about life, quarantine, and creativity. I know I say this every month, but the song we write together is my favorite song that we've written so far on this podcast! I think you'll enjoy it too.

Episode 17 - 'Keep the Fire Alive'

This month’s episode is me by my lonesome again. BUT I talk about a subject that I think a lot of people are experiencing right now given the state of the world at large. We are all experiencing difficulties right now and the frustrations can become overwhelming--to the point of losing all motivation to connect with each other and live our lives. We’ll get into it more in the episode and eventually, write a song about it!

Episode 16 - 'Prayer of Protest'

This month we had a different episode lined up, but given the events of the past week and the protests and rebellions that followed, I felt compelled to release something different. It didn’t feel right to release just another episode without addressing things. I decided that I would let the music pour out of me and not worry about lyrics, so this episode is shorter than usual. But I think the resulting song truly expresses what's in my heart. This is my prayer of protest.

Episode 15 - 'North Star'

This month’s episode is just me by my lonesome. I was unable to find a guest who could record remotely, so it’s just me and my musings. I dive deep into my thoughts about the current situation and end up writing one of my favorite songs yet!
